According to his bib number, the videoed runner is Michel Rojkind, a prominent architect from Mexico City, who collapsed against the barricades mere feet from the Boston Marathon finish line.
After another runner helped pull the 46-year-old Rojkind to his feet, Marathon personnel lifted his arms, assisting him as he labored his way to the finish. Upon crossing the line, Rojkind raised a hand before falling again beneath his own weight.
Nevertheless, he finished in a net time of 3 hours, 6 minutes, and 10 seconds.
