The 2018 Boston Marathon kicked off Monday morning in suboptimal weather conditions of rain, wind, and cold. There was even snow on the ground in Hopkinton.
Of course, a little adversity won’t stop most marathoners, nor will it prevent the heartiest supporters from lining the 26.2-mile course. But after seeing these photos, you’ll get a better sense of what tens of thousands of people are enduring.
