In our “Why I’m Running” series, Boston Marathon runners share what’s inspiring them to make the 26.2-mile trek from Hopkinton to Boston. If you’re running the marathon, you can share your #WhyImRunningBoston story here.
Name: Tim Paradiso
Age: 50
From: Boston, Massachusetts
A few years ago, I decided to run Boston when I turned 50. I’ve never run a marathon before so this will be my first one. I’ve lived in Boston now for over 30 years so I think it’s almost a requirement for me. My co-workers and company (Homesite Insurance) were super supportive in helping me raise money for a charity (Michael’s Miracles) that is allowing me to run for them. Therefore, I’m taking my training seriously and trying to avoid injuries!
