A ceremonial first pitch ordinarily serves as a prelude to plenty of baseball games.

But there was nothing ordinary about it on Wednesday, when the San Diego Padres’ Petco Park was temporarily transformed into Jurassic Park after someone in an elaborate baby Tyrannosaurus-Rex costume did the honors.

“Baby T’’ which flung the baseball toward home plate by using its mouth, was in San Diego to help promote the upcoming film “Walking With Dinosaurs,’’ according to KPBS.
