Self-Serve Beer Has Come to MLB

Next thing you know you’ll be able to make your own pizza pie.
Patrons at Target Field, home stadium of the Minnesota Twins, can now serve themselves at a couple of beer machines set up on the concourse.

According to the Minnesota Star Tribune, fans can walk up to a machine and select from Bud, Bud Light, Shock Top, and Goose Island 312 Urban Pale Ale. The products are all part of the Anheuser-Busch InBev portfolio, which has a sponsorship deal with MLB through 2018.
As is to be expected, there are limits to the amount of beer fans can serve themselves. Customers must buy a card from a concession worker before using the machine. That worker checks ID, and the card can then be used to tap 48 ounces every 15 minutes. That’s a lot of beer, though ballpark employees reserve the right to cut someone off if they feel they are too intoxicated.
