Notes: A win today would give the Red Sox their first sixth sweep of the year. It would be the fifth sweep at Fenway Park. .. The Sox are 7-7 in July and are looking for their first winning month in 2014. .. The Sox (42-52) are 7.0 games back in the race for the second AL wild card spot and are in last place in the AL East, 8.5 games behind division leading Baltimore. .. A win today would give Lester his 10th win of the year, marking the sixth time in his career he secured at least 10 wins. .. Lester has allowed only one earned run over his past 23.0 innings pitched. He hasn’t allowed a home run in his last 45.0 innings. .. In Lester’s last start, he struck out 12 in 7.0 innings of work, allowing one run in a 4-3 win against the Chicago White Sox July 10. .. Will Middlebrooks, who has been on the 15-day disabled list since May 17 with a fractured right index finger, had a pretty good day Saturday. He went 2 for 4 with a home run for Triple-A Pawtucket while playing all nine innings at third base. .. Shane Victorino, in his first game back with the Red Sox Saturday, went 1 for 3 with a single in his first at bat since May 23.
