Watch: Brock Holt Makes an Amazing Catch During Red Sox’ Win in Toronto

The thing you have to remember is that Brock Holt isn’t an outfielder by trade. But much like everything else this season, you don’t tell Brock Holt what he can be or what he can’t do.
Holt added to his highlight reel of improbability Monday night in Toronto where he made the catch of his young career as an outfielder during Boston’s 14-1 win. In the fifth inning, Toronto first baseman Dan Johnson lashed a line drive to right field, where the ball seemed destined to bounce off the wall for at least a double. The ball didn’t ask Brock Holt permission though.
Oh, Holt also went 2-for-6 at the plate with two runs scored, as the Sox amassed the most hits, runs, and home runs in a single game this season. All of a sudden, the Red Sox have won eight of nine, and are only six games out in the wild card hunt. Finally, the rest of his teammates seem to be digesting what Brock Holt has been cooking all season long.
