Notes: The Red Sox have dropped three games in a row and have lost 11 of the last 13 and are 6-7 against NL teams this season… Among the 25 players on the Red Sox roster when they faced the Cards in last year’s World Series, 12 have left Boston… Since returning from the disabled list with a hamstring injury on July 11, Joe Kelly has gone 1-1 with a 7.32 ERA in four starts… Kelly returns to Busch Stadium, where he has a 2.90 ERA in 35 regular season games… Shelby Miller went 0-3 with a 7.30 ERA in his final five starts before the All-Star break but has allowed two runs and three hits in each of the two – over a combined 11 2-3 innings – since then…The Sox are on a pace to play 62 one-run games this year, which would break the club record of 59 set in 1961… David Ortiz is one long ball away from home run No. 400
