On the heels of a last-place finish in 2014, the Red Sox have broken the bank in an effort to go from worst to first for the second time in four seasons. Three of Boston’s latest additions are among the eight largest contracts in team history, and 13 players have signed deals worth at least $50 million in the last 18 years.
