Cleveland’s weather is almost as bad as Boston’s for Red Sox Opening Day

Clevelanders and Bostonians awoke to similar weather forecasts on Monday morning: snow and freezing temperatures.

It’s rough news for baseball fans attending the Opening Day matchup between the Red Sox and Indians in Cleveland at Progressive Field.

According to weather.com, there could be snow around 1 p.m., followed by cloudy weather for the opening pitch. During the game, temperatures should be in the low-30s with winds between 17 and 19 miles per hour.

UPDATE: The Red Sox-Indians Opening Day game has been postponed until Tuesday at 1:10 p.m.

On Sunday, the field was snowy and frozen.
