Jon Lester’s All-Star tribute to David Ortiz
"The best there is."
David Ortiz and Jon Lester were teammates from 2006-2014, winning two World Series titles together and garnering legendary status from Red Sox fans.
Reunited at the 2016 All-Star Game this week, Lester took time to grab a photo with Ortiz, whom he called “The best there is.”

Lester was traded midway through the 2014 season to the Oakland Athletics, and then signed a long term deal with the Chicago Cubs in the following offseason.
Ortiz, who is retiring at the end of the season, has been savoring his final year in baseball. He will be in the starting lineup for the American League during the All-Star Game on Tuesday night.
