The Red Sox finished a successful series in San Diego earlier this week and hit the road bound for a crucial weekend series with the Blue Jays.
The team took advantage of a stress-free travel day by having “favorite jersey day,” and unsurprisingly, David Ortiz was the fashion MVP.
Ortiz wore a custom Patriots jersey the team gave him, and according to Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe, Clay Buchholz and Ryan Hanigan also paid homage to the Pats with Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski jerseys.

In a funny twist, Hanley Ramirez wore a David Ortiz jersey, while first base coach Ruben Amaro, Jr. wore third base coach Brian Butterfield’s jersey.
