Batting in the No. 2 spot in his first Red Sox season opener, Andrew Benintendi didn’t disappoint.

The 22-year-old’s three-run home run in the fifth inning helped lift the Red Sox to a 5-3 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday afternoon. Benintendi was able to turn on a Gerrit Cole fastball, sending it into the Fenway bleachers:
