Continuing his sensational transition to the majors, 20-year-old Rafael Devers launched his second home run of the season in the first inning of Thursday night’s contest against the White Sox.

Not only did the third baseman’s two-run hit give his team a 4-0 lead, but it also produced an amazing photo of fans trying to get their hands on the ball, as captured by Boston Herald photographer Matt Stone:

Some Twitter users thought the scene resembled a work of Renaissance art, while others drew similar comparisons to paintings by Norman Rockwell. With 11 individuals captured in the Herald‘s frame, the variety and hilarity of their distinct facial expressions led many to have a field day with the mayhem.

According to WEEI’s Rob Bradford, the 12-year-old boy in the red hat ultimately took home the prized possession.
