Game 5 of the ALCS wasn’t nearly as long as Game 4, which meant the Red Sox had extra time to celebrate their 4-1 series win over the Astros on Thursday.

They started by taking a team picture on the field, hoisting their hands in the air, and screaming as they entertained the paparazzi.

The celebration continued into the clubhouse, where the entire team sang “Happy Birthday” to manager Alex Cora. Post-game TV interviews also took place, and finally it was time for the marquee attraction.

The players sprayed champagne in one another’s faces and poured beer on their teammates’ heads and down their shirts. Brock Holt even dumped a beer all over himself and seemed to enjoy it.

The bulk of the celebration consisted of mayhem and ridiculousness, but there were some poignant moments sprinkled into the action. Cora, for instance, took some time to pose with his family on the field during his memorable 43rd birthday.

David Price, who turned in by far the biggest start of his postseason career, embraced his family members in the tunnel afterward. This was a night to cherish for the entire team.
