No. 16 history

The Bruins last picked at No. 16 in 1992 when they tabbed Dmitri Kvartalnov from the San Diego Gulls (IHL). It turned out to be a pricey pick, as Kvartalnov appeared in only 112 games for the Bruins, scoring 42 goals and 49 assists.

Some of the other players they could have selected instead of Kvartalnov include current NHLers Jason Smith, Martin Straka, Jere Lehtinen, Ian Laperriere, and Nikolai Khabibulin.

Here are the last 10 players selected in the 16th slot:

Colton Gillies (Minnesota)
Ty Wishart (San Jose)
Alex Bourret (Atlanta)
Petteri Nokelainen (Islanders)
Steve Bernier (San Jose)
Jakub Klepis (Ottawa)
R.J. Umberger (Vancouver)
Marcel Hossa (Montreal)
David Tanabe (Carolina)
Eric Chouinard (Montreal)
