All done at the Honda Center. Ducks, 4-3.
10:17 (3). Michael Ryder pings a shot off the post.
8:07 (3). Ducks, 4-3. Bobby Ryan’s snap shot goes off Tuukka Rask’s blocker, pops into the air, and falls behind the goalie. Steve Eminger crashes the net and jams it across the line.
1:59 (3). Tied, 3-3. Ryan Getzlaf finds a seam between Matt Hunwick and Derek Morris, takes a pass from James Wisniewski, and beats Tuukka Rask. Heck of a play by both Ducks, exploiting a loose gap by the Bruins.

After 40 minutes, Bruins with a 3-2 lead. Anaheim with a 20-15 shot advantage.
- High-character effort by the Bruins so far. Lots of fight, literally and figuratively, in the road team tonight. Too often, other teams have let the Bruins sleep this season. Looks like the Ducks have poked the Bruins out of their slumber.
- Mark Recchi gets the primary assist on Marco Sturm’s tip. But it all started with Miroslav Satan being strong on the puck and winning an offensive-zone battle.
- David Krejci is playing with some grit and pace to his game.

9:49 (2). Some post-whistle hate. Zdeno Chara trades a few jabs with Ryan Getzlaf, Dennis Wideman grabs a hold of Corey Perry, Shawn Thornton sends Bobby Ryan tumbling. Bruins need this kind of jam and emotion in their game.
8:30 (2). Excellent puck possession by David Krejci and friends. Some rare cycling by the Bruins.

4:00 (2). Tied, 1-1. David Krejci goes around the net and finds Zdeno Chara at the pint. Chara walks the puck off the wall and beats Jonas Hiller with a slap shot. All this takes place with James Wisniewski, who had gotten tangled up with Michael Ryder, lying in front of the end boards. Wisniewski goes off with help.
After 20 minutes, Ducks with a 1-0 lead. Anaheim with a 13-9 shot advantage.
- Most of Boston’s offense has been about countering the Ducks and jumping on their mistakes. Little sustained offensive pressure on Jonas Hiller. Looks like that will be the case while Marc Savard and Patrice Bergeron are out.
- The Anaheim forwards are very strong on the puck. They’ve recorded several strips and haven’t given up the puck down low.
- Adam McQuaid can throw. Troy Bodie is fortunate McQuaid didn’t connect with a big right hand.
19:57 (1). Zdeno Chara jumps up and has a clean look in the low slot. But Chara heels the shot. Have to bury that.
19:16 (1). Off the draw, Byron Bitz vs. Kyle Chipchura. Bitz gets in a few early, Chipchura comes back late, linesmen break up the fight.
19:14 (1). Ducks, 1-0. Dan Sexton buries the rebound. Teemu Selanne had slid a shot on goal that took a hop off Zdeno Chara. Unlucky bounce for the Bruins.

15:07 (1). David Krejci blasts a shorthanded shot off Jonas Hiller’s mask.
13:42 (1). Interference on Matt Hunwick. First power play of the night.
12:45 (1). Good pad work by Jonas Hiller, kicking out shots by Michael Ryder and Matt Hunwick.
11:09 (1). Dennis Wideman is back on the bench.
11:09 (1). Tuukka Rask snatches a Bobby Ryan shot. Ryan outmuscled Dennis Wideman, who is hobbling after blocking a Kyle Chipchura shot. Wideman has gone to the room.

7:25 (1). Todd Marchant strips Dennis Wideman and puts a hard slapper on goal. Tuukka Rask with the glove save.

3:31 (1). Big slapper by Steve Eminger. Clear look for Tuukka Rask.
0:35 (1). Early scoring chance for the Ducks. All because of a lazy clear by Derek Morris that was easily picked off by Anaheim’s point man.
Trent Whitfield is the healthy scratch.
