Game-time decision for Seidenberg

Dennis Seidenberg pulled out of the morning skate early because his left wrist was feeling uncomfortable. Seidenberg will participate in warmups tonight, then be a game-time decision.

“The strength really wasn’t there,” Seidenberg said. “We’ll see how it feels.”

If Seidenberg can’t play, Adam McQuaid will dress for the first time since Feb. 13. McQuaid has missed nearly two months of play because of a concussion. McQuaid played for Providence yesterday, recording two shots in a 3-2 win over Portland.

Even factoring in his lack of playing time lately, McQuaid could replace Andrew Bodnarchuk if Seidenberg dresses.

* Mark Stuart underwent surgery on the left pinkie that he broke earlier this year in a fight against Los Angeles’s Wayne Simmonds. Stuart was first diagnosed with cellulitis, then an MRI showed that the pinkie required further attention. Stuart will miss the rest of the regular season.

* Shawn Thornton (upper body) will miss his third straight game.

* Tuukka Rask has been named the NHL’s Third Star of the Week. Rask went 2-1-0 with a 0.55 GAA and a .977 save percentage, recording one shutout.
