Post-game update

From Claude Julien:
The Bruins coach had no update on Marco Strum who was injured on his first shift and never returned. He said he might have more information Sunday. “It’s never easy when you lose a guy on the first shift. We kind of had some set lines that we wish we could be using. That’s basically the way we’ve operated, but with all the injuries we’ve had this year, everybody’s kind of played with each other, so that certainly helped.”

On losing a two-goal lead and going into overtime:

“When you into the locker room before overtime, you basically tell the team, it doesn’t matter what happened, and what we got to do is go out there and play to win, that’s what we did.”

David Krejci:

On losing a two-goal lead:

“I guess we let up a little bit there. We sat back and waited for them and that’s not our game. We have to keep moving forward and we didn’t do that. So, they came back two times and we had to go into overtime, but in the end, it’s a win.”

Zdeno Chara:

On Marc Savard:

“I think everybody was really happy for him to get a goal and it ended up being an overtime winner, and you know, i t’s nice to see him back and obviously celebrating. It’s nice to win the first game.”

Tuukka Rask:

On his overtime save on Daniel Carcillo:

“The breakaway? Yeah, he came in kind of from the side and made a move across. He tried to go five hole and it just hit my pad. In OT, you got to make those saves sometimes.”

On the Flyers:

“They’re a tough team to play against. They really jam the net and throw those pucks at the feet there and crash the net a lot. It was a tough game, but we found a way to win.”

Flyers’ Chris Pronger:

On the Flyers’ comeback to force overtime:

“It is a small prize I guess, but we still lost the game, which stinks because we came back and because we played a pretty good second and a very good third. We had a few chances in overtime, much like they did. They were fortunate enough to get that last one. It is something that we can build on that is for sure.”
