Bruins defenseman Andrew Ference and goalie Tim Thomas have both had surgery to deal with injury issues, the team announced today.
Ference had surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital to repair a hernia on his right side. His recovery time was estimated at two months, according to a team press release.
Thomas had surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left hip at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. The Bruins estimated his recovery time at three to four months.
The team also announced that center Vladimir Sobotka will have a left shoulder stabilization procedure on Tuesday.
