Below are updates that were posted throughout the game:

Observation: Despite overall pasting, goalie Tim Thomas called upon for some dandy stops. Moving very well, looks confident and fluid. Not good news for armchair GMs/haters who insist he must go.

Third period:
Bergeron makes it a Gimme Five night when he assists on Wheeler’s goal for 7-1 lead at 9:20. No. 37 now 2-3–5 for eve.

Third period: Seguin connects on 35-40 foot slapper at 6:01 for 5-1 lead. Whiteout turns Blackout. Bergeron with helper, now 4 points.

Greg Campbell with some clever touch in front for 6-1 lead at 7:32. Grief stricken locals remain in seats to bear witness.

Second period, 10:45:
Bruins get goal back on Caron shorthander at 10:45. Bergeron with another nice pick near offensive blue line while killing minor penalty on Recchi. Clever dish to right sends Caron toward right post for quick snap. Bruins lead 3-1.

Second period, 8:11: Tigers cut lead to 2-1 at 8:11 when Andrej Podkonicky pots cross-slot pass from ex-NHLer Petr Nedved. B’s caught flatfooted in 2-on-0 break. Sloppy.

Stats report: Thomas made 14 saves in first period. Pinc stopped 10 of 11 shots.

Second period: Patrice Bergeron supplies 2-0 lead at 2:22. Pretty pick by slick pivot at center ice. Races in alone for forehand tuck at right post. Sans aide, his amis in Quebec City would say.

First period, 18:37: Nathan Horton snaps in 15-footer off rush with help from Zdeno Chara and David Krecji. Matching helpers for homeboys–despite their different flags.

B’s carry 1-0 lead into first break.

First period: SRO here in intimate building. College atmosphere.. White Tiger fans waving white towels frantically. Inspiration or surrender??

First period: Tigers buzzing Thomas. With Paille, Seguin, Ryder on ice.

Another Boston line: Marchand-Campell-Thornton

5:05, first period: Jordan Caron gets shift at LW with Seguin and Ryder. Nice wrister for Caron, pass from Ryder. Caron shows some needed zip.

Boston Lines

Pregame: Like many Euro rinks, game clock begins at 00:00 each period and runs up to 20:00. Makes too much sense for No. America. Does anyone really know what time it is?

Pregame: Tim Thomas in net for Bruins. Marek Pinc in cage for Pesky Tigers.
