Game 41: Bruins at Penguins

PITTSBURGH — Good morning from the Consol Energy Center, where the Bruins will play the Penguins tonight in the first of two meetings this week. The rematch is on Saturday at TD Garden. Tonight’s game marks the halfway point of the regular season for the Bruins.

This will be the first game for Marc Savard against Matt Cooke and the Penguins since he was knocked loopy at Mellon Arena on March 10.

“It’s obvious that it’s something that’s hurt my life for a bit and put me through some tough times,” Savard said of Cooke’s head-hunting hit. “It’s not easy. It’ll be on my mind, but at the end of the day, I’m just going out with my team and trying to get points.”

Matt Bartkowski has been promoted on emergency recall. For now, we’ll assume Bartkowski is in, although we might know more after the morning skate. Nathan Horton is 50-50.
