Game 70: Bruins at Predators

NASHVILLE — Good morning from Bridgestone Arena, where the Bruins will take on the Predators tonight.

Yet to be determined is the availability of Brad Marchand. The rookie is participating in a disciplinary hearing this morning with VP of hockey operations Mike Murphy. In question is an apparent elbow Marchand threw at R.J. Umberger on Tuesday.

If we assume Marchand is unavailable tonight, Rich Peverley would most likely skate on the second line.

We’ll also assume that Tim Thomas will get the nod. All will be updated upon any changes.

Puck drop: 8 p.m. EST

Storylines: This will be the first time Milan Lucic plays former Vancouver teammate Jonathan Blum. Both won the Memorial Cup in 2006-07… David Krejci has two goals and six assists in his last six games… Nashville has the league’s third-worst power play (14.7 percent). Maybe like the Bruins do with Zdeno Chara, the Predators lean too much on Shea Weber and his triple-digit shot… Nashville averages a league-low 8.8 penalty minutes per game… Brian Pochmara and Brad Watson will be the referees. Derek Nansen and Brian Mach will be the linesmen.
