Sunday scrimmage

WILMINGTON — Instead of going through a standard practice at Ristuccia Arena this morning, the Bruins opted for a black-and-white scrimmage. All players participated in the scrimmage, which featured five-on-five, four-on-four, and three-on-three play.

Tuukka Rask ended the session in the shootout when he turned back Daniel Paille.

“I think it was more of a fun day,” said Claude Julien. “At one point, there’s a lot of pressure of accomplishing what you want to accomplish. You want to still maintain that it’s fun to come to work. I think guys still worked hard today, skated, and competed. You’ve got to sometimes relieve the pressure a little bit. Hopefully it was good for us today. Tomorrow we get back to work.”

* Shawn Thornton remains day-to-day. Thornton has been wearing a shield. Thornton will travel to New York with his teammates this afternoon.
