First in a series of recaps of Bruins-Canadiens games this season.
Carey Price stopped 31 shots to lead the Canadiens to a 3-1 win at TD Garden on Nov. 11. Tuukka Rask was tagged with the loss. It was the most muted of the six tilts.
“We just ran out of legs,” Claude Julien said after the loss. “We just didn’t have the legs. Progressively, our game got worse. We looked more and more tired. We had a fresh team waiting for you at home, a divisional game, a big game. They’re ready for us. I’m going to stand here and say our guys really wanted it bad enough. But when you don’t have your legs, the rest of your game falls apart as well. It makes every part of your game look bad. That’s what it is. You can try and push your players all you want. But if they don’t have the legs, they don’t have the legs.”
P.K. Subban scored his first career goal. Brian Gionta buried a two-on-one opportunity for the game-winning goal.
* Blake Wheeler played his second career NHL game at center. Wheeler was between Jordan Caron and Mark Recchi.
