Patrice Bergeron practices with Bruins

Good morning from TD Garden, where the Bruins practiced at 11 a.m. in preparation for Game 2.

Patrice Bergeron skated for the third straight morning. Bergeron hit the ice at 10:18 a.m. along with strength and conditioning coach John Whitesides. Bergeron started his session with light shooting and skating drills. Bergeron then progressed to laps around the ice.

GM Peter Chiarelli watched Bergeron’s skate.

Bergeron remained on the ice when his teammates arrived. Bergeron worked through power-play drills and participated in full practice as the fourth forward on the No. 1 line. Bergeron took several shifts with regular linemates Brad Marchand and Mark Recchi.

Bergeron left the ice before the conclusion of practice. Bergeron was on the ice for just over an hour. Bergeron didn’t participate in any battle drills or down-low work.

“This is the protocol we’re going through and the process he has to go through,” said Claude Julien. “You’ve seen him skate now for a few days. That’s basically it. We don’t have anything more to report, because there is nothing else to report.”

Julien said he didn’t know whether Bergeron will play tomorrow.

* For the first time in the postseason, Tyler Seguin participated in pre-practice power-play drills. There were no set units, but Seguin mostly worked the left-side half-boards. “He’s a young player we care about and make sure that we develop him properly,” Julien said. “Part of the decision we’ve made as an organization is not to rush him through anything.”

* Rich Peverley moved up to the No. 2 line between Marchand and Recchi. Peverley switched places with Chris Kelly, who was the No. 2 center in Game 1.
