WILMINGTON, Mass. — David Krejci was ruled out for Wednesday night’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes after he suffered an undisclosed injury during a practice session at Ristuccia Arena, according to a statement relased by the team.
Bruins coach Claude Julien was unable to comment on the exact nature of Krejci’s injury. The first-line skater did not travel with the team this afternoon to Raleigh, N.C., and will not be available for Wednesday night’s game against the Hurricanes.
He remained in Boston to be evaulated by the team’s medical personnel.
His status for Saturday’s game in Chicago remains uncertain.
“I don’t know, I can’t really tell you the severity of it right now,” Julien said after practice. “He’s being looked at.”
At the time, Julien was uncertain as to whether Krejci would be available to travel with the team.
“If he doesn’t then he’ll be [left] behind, getting checked out,” Julien said. “I just don’t know how severe it is right now.”
