Adam McQuaid fined $2,500 but will not be suspended

Adam McQuaid has been fined $2,500 for his kneeing major on Ottawa’s Nick Foligno last night. McQuaid was not suspended for the incident.

McQuaid said it was a reactionary play. Foligno was not injured. McQuaid was given a five-minute major and a game misconduct.

Had McQuaid been suspended, the Bruins would have likely recalled reinforcements from Providence for Saturday’s game against Philadelphia.
