Rob Gronkowski will spike the ceremonial first puck tomorrow before Worcester hosts Providence at the DCU Center at 7:30 p.m.
On Nov. 18, Gronkowski was fined $7,500 for spiking the football after scoring a touchdown against the Jets. The Sharks, San Jose’s AHL affiliate, offered to pay the fine if Gronkowski spiked a puck before a Worcester game.
No word on whether the tight end will suit up for the game. Providence is down two forwards, as Carter Camper and Josh Hennessy are with the big club.
