Final, Bruins 4, Panthers 1

End of game, Bruins 4-1 That’s all. B’s take an ugly one at the Garden.

Third period, :57.2, Bruins 4-1 Bergeron gets an empty-netter. The final score isn’t exactly going to reflect the way this one was played. Not a great game for the home team.

Third period, 4:36, Bruins 3-1 Bench minor, too many men on the ice for the Panthers. Bruins get another PP chance.

Third period, 7:17, Bruins 3-1 There’s the third goal of the season for Shawn Thornton, who came around the back of the net and stuffed in the puck. He was assisted by Paille and Campbell. Nice work on a night that hasn’t seen a lot of good moments for the Bruins.

End of the second period, Bruins 2-1 The Bruins made it out of the second period without giving up another goal, though it was mighty close in the final seconds. The Bruins need to try to turn things around in the third, even with the lead, after a subpar second period.

Second period, 4:12, Bruins 2-1 Too many men on the ice. Bruins have been a bit sloppy here in the second period, though they still have a lead over the Panthers. Let’s see if they can kill their 22nd straight penalty.

Second period, 7:38, Bruins 2-1 Horton goes off for high sticking. First power play for Florida.

Second period, 13:51, Bruins 2-1 That shorthanded goal was the first the Bruins have allowed this season.

Second period, 16:50, Bruins 2-1 Shorthanded goal for Shawn Matthias, unassisted. Not exactly how the B’s wanted their first power play of the evening to go.

Second period, 18:22, Bruins 2-0 Bruins go on the power play against the Panthers who are 30th in the NHL in the penalty kill. It was Erik Gudbranson for interference.

End of the first period, Bruins 2-0 Not exactly surprising that the Bruins are up by a couple of goals here at the first break. Florida is one of the worst teams in the NHL at 7-14-6. The Bruins are, of course, among the best.

First period, 5:04, Bruins 2-0 Patrice Bergeron gets the Bruins’ second goal of the evening, from Marchand and Seguin.

First period, 10:44, Bruins 1-0 Tuukka Rask has been impressive so far in this one, with a couple of big-time saves keeping the Bruins on top about halfway through the first period.

First period, 16:05, Bruins 1-0 The Bruins are already on the board in this one, with Zdeno Chara getting the first goal, assisted by Krejci and Horton. He scored on a one-timer from the left faceoff circle.
