Bruins seeking stability in stretch run

The Bruins are in second place in the Northeast Division. They will most likely have home ice. But they’d prefer to enter the playoffs with positive feelings instead of limping into next week.

“I’d rather go into the playoffs feeling good about ourselves than not,” coach Claude Julien said. “You’ve seen teams that have struggled, then when they start the playoffs, it’s a whole different story. I’d rather not go there. I’d rather be the confident team.”

To that end, the Bruins appear to be sending out a lineup that could resemble their Game 1 formation.

Tonight’s expected lineup, based on the morning skate:

Milan Lucic-David Krejci-Rich Peverley
Brad Marchand-Patrice Bergeron-Tyler Seguin
Carl Soderberg-Chris Kelly-Jaromir Jagr
Daniel Paille-Gregory Campbell-Shawn Thornton

Zdeno Chara-Dennis Seidenberg
Andrew Ference-Johnny Boychuk
Wade Redden-Adam McQuaid

Tuukka Rask
Anton Khudobin

* Nathan Horton (upper body) skated on his own this morning. Horton is day-to-day.

* Chris Kelly will return to center. Carl Soderberg will go back to left wing. The two had switched positions the last two games.
