No line changes for Bruins in practice

The Bruins have started their practice at TD Garden. There are no line changes up front from Game 2.

Andrew Ference is expected to slot back into the second pairing in Game 3. Ference will replace Dougie Hamilton, who made his NHL playoff debut last night.

“He understands how important those playoff games and those things you do in playoffs are,” Claude Julien said. “He’s stabilized our defense as far as getting the right pairs and everything else. He’s a guy who comes to play every night. Not only is he a good player, he’s a good leader.”

Today’s practice lineup:

Milan Lucic-David Krejci-Nathan Horton
Brad Marchand-Patrice Bergeron-Tyler Seguin
Rich Peverley-Chris Kelly-Jaromir Jagr
Daniel Paille-Gregory Campbell-Shawn Thornton
Jay Pandolfo-Carl Soderberg-Kaspars Daugavins

Zdeno Chara-Dennis Seidenberg
Andrew Ference-Johnny Boychuk
Wade Redden-Adam McQuaid
Aaron Johnson-Dougie Hamilton

Tuukka Rask
Anton Khudobin

The challenge is for the Bruins to find some offensive presence from the No. 3 line of Rich Peverley, Chris Kelly, and Jaromir Jagr. The line has done little offensively in the first two games. Jagr committed an offensive-zone turnover that led to James van Riemsdyk’s insurance goal.

“Our first two lines have been together for quite a long time and they’re playing well,” Julien said. “They’re generating stuff. Now it’s about trying to build some chemistry with some players. We keep trying to find players to complement him a little bit. At the same time, he’s battled a pretty tough flu a week ago. I know he’s not feeling 100 percent yet. We’re certainly counting on him.”

* The Bruins are scheduled to travel to Toronto this afternoon.
