VANCOUVER – Welcome to Rogers Arena, where the Bruins will try to win their fifth straight game against the Canucks this evening. It’s the first time the Bruins have been to Vancouver since they beat Vancouver in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final in 2011.
The Bruins have had a successful road swing through western Canada, with a chance to go 4-0-0 on the trip. But they’re running into a hot Canucks team that has gone 6-0-0 to start December, including a win over the Oilers on Friday night.
Boston is still undermanned after dealing with injuries, illness, and suspension this week, with Reilly Smith the latest victim of the flu-like symptoms. Smith was sent back to the hotel from morning skate, but will play tonight.
