Game 75 preview: Bruins at Flyers

PHILADELPHIA – Good morning from the Wells Fargo Center, where the Bruins will look to set a team record this afternoon against the Flyers. The Bruins have won eight straight games on the road, including Saturday’s 4-2 victory over Washington. They have never won nine straight.

Tuukka Rask should be in goal today after backing up Chad Johnson Saturday. For now, we’ll assume there are no other lineup changes.

Puck drop: 12:30 p.m.

TV/radio info: NBC, 98.5 The Sports Hub (Dave Goucher, Bob Beers)

Records: Bruins 51-17-6, Flyers 39-27-7

Projected Bruins lineup:

Milan Lucic-David Krejci-Jarome Iginla
Brad Marchand-Patrice Bergeron-Reilly Smith
Chris Kelly-Carl Soderberg-Loui Eriksson
Daniel Paille-Gregory Campbell-Shawn Thornton

Zdeno Chara-Dougie Hamilton
Andrej Meszaros-Johnny Boychuk
Torey Krug-Kevan Miller

Tuukka Rask
Chad Johnson

Healthy scratches: Jordan Caron, Matt Bartkowski, Corey Potter

Storylines: If he plays, this will be Andrej Meszaros’s first game against his old team. The Bruins acquired Meszaros from the Flyers at the trade deadline for a conditional third-round pick. Meszaros displaced Matt Bartkowski on the second pairing Saturday. Meszaros also manned the point on the No. 2 power-play unit instead of Reilly Smith… The Flyers will be seeking revenge for their 6-1 loss to the Bruins earlier this season. The Flyers, however, are a different team than the one the Bruins played earlier. Philadelphia could have home-ice advantage in the first round, which is a significant feat given their wretched start under former coach Peter Laviolette… Tim Peel and Dennis LaRue will be the referees. Pierre Racicot and Greg Devorski will be the linesmen.
