Matt Bartkowski Out for Game 2

Bruins defenseman Matt Bartkowski is out for today’s game against the Detroit Red Wings, coach Claude Julien confirmed this afternoon during his pregame media availability.

The 25-year-old missed Game 1 due to the flu, and Julien said he will not suit up for Game 2.

Julien did say, however, that Kevan Miller will take part in pregame skate. Miller also missed Game 1 with the flu and is expected to be a game-time decision.

Bartkowski made his playoff debut last season in the Bruins’ opening round matchup with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He played seven games in the 2013 playoffs, tallying one goal and one assist.
Miller has yet to play in an NHL playoff game.
