Red Wings Goalie Jimmy Howard Out With the Flu


DETROIT — Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard will not play in Game 4 against the Bruins because he has the flu, according to the team.

Replacing Howard in net will be Jonas Gustavsson. In 27 games played, Gustavsson went 16-5 with a .907 save percentage and 2.63 goals against average. He last played April 9 against Pittsburgh, allowing three goals and recording 21 saves.
