Second period recap: Thomas Vanek Scores as Montreal Goes up 2-1 Against Bruins

Thanks to a 4-on-3 power play opportunity, the Bruins are down 2-1 after a P.K. Subban shot was deflected off teammate Thomas Vanek past Tuukka Rask.

Subban got the assist, his third point in two games, as the Canadiens took the lead 18:09 into the second. It was Vanek’s second goal of the playoffs.

The Canadiens out shot the Bruins 15 to 13 in the second period as things got a little more heated. The Bruins had three penalties for roughing and an unsportsmanlike penalty in the period.
