It doesn’t look good for the Bruins. David Desharnais’s made a quick pass to Max Pacioretty for a one-timer past Tuukka Rask, putting the Canadiens up 2-0 over the Bruins 10:22 into the second period of Game 7.
Claude Julien noted after Game 6 that the Bruins had actually been playing well down 1-0, up until they gave up the second goal of the game. Who scored that goal? Pacioretty of course. The Bruins were playing well in the second period until Pacioretty struck again, claiming what could be the death knell for the Bruins. Desharnais and Brendan Gallagher both had assists on the goal.
Pacioretty has three goals in these playoffs and seven points.
In the first period, Canadiens forward Dale Weise swooped in for a quick goal against the Bruins only 2:18 into the game.
