It might be a little late, but the Bruins have signed a defenseman.
Linus Arnesson, a 6-1, 188-pound blue liner from Stockholm, Sweden who was drafted by the Bruins in the second round of the 2013 NHL entry draft, was signed to an entry-level contract, according to an announcement by the team.
Arnesson played the past year for Djurgarden in the Allsvenskan league, skating 44 games while accumulating a goal, five assists, and a +2 rating as well as 36 penalty minutes. He’s obviously not a scoring defenseman in the mold of Torey Krug.
We’ll get to see him in training camp in October.
