Celtics center Theo Ratliff visited Dr. Andrew Fischer in Long Island yesterday for “trigger point” injections. The veteran continues to seek relief from lower back pain caused by a bulging disk. Ratliff said he is feeling better, but could not put a timetable on his return. But it was a positive sign to see him sitting on the bench for last night’s game between the Knicks and Celtics. Until last night, he found it too painful to sit through games on the bench.
Paul Pierce on the Knicks: “They seem like they’re coming together. The last couple of games they’ve been playing well. They have a lot of talent. I’ve always said they’re one of the most talented teams in the Eastern Conference, just look at the names they have on the team.”
