Celtics, 44-41(half)

Forward Al Jefferson had a monster half for the Celtics, taking on double-teams from Sacramento and handling them with success. Jefferson had 14 points and six rebounds in 16 minutes for the Celtics.

With Delonte West back, Allan Ray did not see action for Boston in the first half. West tied with Jeffeson for the team lead with 13 points.

  • On the bench with a foot injury, Celtics captain Paul Pierce teased Kings center Brad Miller early in the second quarter.

“Brad Miller, what’s up?” Pierce called from the bench.

Pierce yelled from the bench as Kendrick Perkins backed Miller down.

“His (Miller’s) defense ain’t what it used to be,” said Pierce.
