Celtics coach Doc Rivers wishes more than anything he could get his team a win.
“I’m proud of them,” Rivers said after the game. “They’re playing so freaking hard. I just want to squeeze a win out for them so they can relax.”
“You just tell them to keep fighting and keep pushing. I told them earlier this wasn’t going to be easy when the injuries went down. We’re not teaching them how to play basketball. We’re teaching them how to win at basketball. And when you have all of them (young players) on the floor at the same time, it’s a hell of a task. But looking at the scores every night, they’re closer than they think. But losses hurt. Every night they come into the locker room with their heads down and it’s tough. But tomorrow we have to build them back up and push them back out there on Wednesday.”
