Elton Brand took it to the Celtics here in the first half. The Clippers forward had 16 points, 11 rebounds, and two assists in the half.

After registering a DNP-coach’s decision against the Lakers Wednesday, Sebastian Telfair started the second quarter for the Celtics before picking up two quick fouls and heading to the bench.

Gerald Green had a highlight dunk with 3:51 left in the first half. On a fast break with Delonte West and Rajon Rondo, Green took a backwards pass from West and elevated over Quinton Ross for a two-handed flush that brought the Garden crowd to its feet.
