Heat, 44-40 (half)

The Heat opened the second quarter with a 10-0 run fueled by Dwayne Wade and tied the game at 27 with 9:40 left in the first half. The Heat extended the run to 17-2 with 6:29 left in the second quarter and led 34-29.

Brian Scalabrine brought some life into the crowd with a three-pointer to beat the halftime buzzer. Scal missed his first three but Al Jefferson corraled the rebound and gave Scal another chance to knock one down from the corner. The buzzer-beater brought the crowd to its feet.

  • Gerald Green checked into the game for the first time with 9:40 left in the second quarter. Green did not score in the first half.
  • Delonte West was called for a technical foul with 7:19 left in the second quarter.
  • Al Jefferson had nine points and 11 rebounds in the first half. Jefferson had his shots blocked several teams by Shaquille O’Neal is appears frustrated. Ryan Gomes (10 and 4) is playing well for the Celtics.
  • Dwayne Wade is leading the Heat with 18 points.
