Celtics captain Paul Pierce talked to Gerald Green before Wednesday night’s game against the Bucks and had some advice for the second-year forward.
“Like I told him before the game, we need him to come out here and just start being more consistent,” said Pierce. “He put together a big game in Minnesota and I wanted to challenge him to come out the next night and do that again.”
Green had one of his best games of the season against the Bucks, scoring 21 points on 8 of 9 shooting.
“(Pierce) said just try to have a great game every day,” said Green. “He said sometimes you might not be a scorer but do other things so you have a great game. He said to be a great player you have to be consistent. That’s what he did to get to where he’s at.”
