Delonte West is feeling no ill-effects following the concussion he sustained last Friday night against Seattle. The tough-as-nails West is more worried about tonight’s matchup with the taller Josh Childress.
“He’s definitely a talented guard,” said West. “I have to do a good job of keeping him off the boards. He’s an excellent offensive rebounder. It’s going to be interesting going against a quicker and taller guy.”
West will start alongside rookie Rajon Rondo tonight. It’s a combination West likes.
“It frees me up,” said West. “With his penetration skills, it allows good looks from the outside. He also gives us more quickness on the perimeter. With both of our playmaking abilities we can get Paul [Pierce] and Al [Jefferson] more shots.”
