Paul Pierce did not talk to the medical staff today about possibly shutting it down for the rest of the season, according to Celtics coach Doc Rivers.
“Not that I know of,” said Rivers. “I don’t think it’s anything.”
Rivers said he has been pleased with the attitude of his captain of late.
“Paul’s having a lot of fun right now,” said Rivers. “And it’s nice. Obviously it’s all the guys, because with all the injuries he’s the only vet left standing. But I think he’s really enjoying his role right now with the team. It’s really neat to watch. He’s kind of overseeing the one-on-one games before and after practices. And the guy most of his attention is on is Gerald. And so I really like the relationship and what’s going on with this team in that aspect.”
