Powe’s take

Leon Powe works on his mid-range jumper meticulously before every game. But with the clock running down and the Celtics needing a score, Powe passed up an open shot and Sebastian Telfair failed to get off a shot as time expired.

“I didn’t see the time,” said Powe. “I was trying to get it to one of our best shooters so he could shoot the ball. I can shoot it. I just ain’t been shooting it that much in the game. I rely more on my inside game. I like to get to the line. That’s just me. I don’t like to bail too many people out by taking jumpers. But sometimes I have to take them because they’d be packing it in on me.”
