As far as Minnesota Timberwolves boss Kevin McHale is concerned, any trade talk involving Kevin Garnett has been just that — talk.
“Who knows what’s going to happen?” McHale said after the Timberwolves worked out draft prospects Jeff Green and Al Horford. “But we’re not out there actively shopping Kevin Garnett around the NBA. I can tell you that much.”
Rumors of the Celtics and Timberwolves talking about a potential deal that would send Garnett to Boston have been making the rounds in recent days. The following potential scenario was reported a few days ago by ESPN.com’s Chad Ford, who called it “just a hot rumor:”
“Boston would send Al Jefferson, Gerald Green, Sebastian Telfair, Theo Ratliff, and change to Minnesota along with the No. 5 pick in the upcoming draft. In exchange, the Celtics would get Garnett.”
What do you think about the Celtics possibly dealing for Kevin Garnett? If you were Danny Ainge, would you be hesitant to include Jefferson or the No. 5 pick in any potential deal? Or should the Green pull out all the stops to land KG? Share your thoughts on our message board.
