23d not a charm

The Celtics have compiled a 20-2 record for the third time since the NBA’s inaugural season in 1946-47. The Celtics won 20 of 22 last season and in 1963, losing game No. 23 in both seasons.

The current Celtics can surpass that mark with a win in Washington Thursday.

“That’s not our focus,” coach Doc Rivers said after practice Tuesday. “We don’t get anything for that, that I know of. It wouldn’t do a lot for us.”
